Arsenal Beat Barcelona In An Eight-Goal Thriller

California (ANI): Arsenal beat Barcelona 5-3 at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood on Thursday in the Soccer Champions Tour in the US. Arsenal youngsters scored five goals. Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and Fabio Vieira scored one goal each. Leandro Trossard scored two goals. For Barcelona, Robert Lewandowski, Rafinha and Ferran Torres were on the scoresheet. In the seventh minute of the match, Barcelona opened the account by scoring a goal. Striker Robert Lewandowski passed the ball past Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

Arsenal wasted no time and Bukayo Saka opened the scoring after five minutes. After half an hour, Barcelona were awarded a free-kick just outside the 18-yard box. Brazilian national Rafinha stepped forward to take the freekick. He struck the ball and it was deflected by an Arsenal defender and the ball again went into the back of the net. Rafinha scored the second goal for Barca in the 34th minute. Arsenal were not taking any prisoners as they struck back again. In the 43rd minute of the match, Arsenal’s new player Kai Havertz scored and the score became 2–2 once again.

Both the teams reached the dressing room with the score tied at 2-2. Arsenal started at a brisk pace in the second half. In the 55th minute, Leonardo Trossard of Arsenal scored a goal to give his team a one-goal lead. Arsenal dominated with their attacking style of play. In the 78th minute of the match, Leonardo Trossard scored once again and doubled Arsenal’s lead. Barcelona tried their best to get back in the game. Ferran Torres scored in the 88th minute to give Barcelona some hope as the score was 4–3.

But Fabio Vieira ended all Barcelona’s hopes by scoring Arsenal’s fifth goal of the night in the 89th minute. After the final whistle the scoreline was 5–3 and Arsenal won the match. Arsenal took 20 shots, nine of which were on target. His possession of the ball was 40 percent. Arsenal completed 285 passes with an accuracy of 82 percent. Arsenal accepted 22 fouls and received three yellow cards. Barcelona took nine shots, four of which were on target. His ball possession during the game was 60 percent. Barca completed 422 passes with an accuracy of 86 percent. Barcelona committed 12 fouls and received one yellow card. In the pre-season tour, Barcelona will face Real Madrid on 30 July and AC Milan on 2 August.
